Ambos os m\u00e9todos s\u00e3o usados para expressar a quantidade de umidade em um g\u00e1s, mas usam unidades diferentes e t\u00eam rela\u00e7\u00f5es diferentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PPMV \u00e9 uma unidade de medida que expressa a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de um g\u00e1s em uma mistura de gases. No caso da medi\u00e7\u00e3o de umidade, ppmv expressa a quantidade de vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua em um g\u00e1s em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 quantidade total de gases presentes na mistura. Por exemplo, se uma mistura de gases cont\u00e9m 1 ppmv de vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua, isso significa que para cada 1 milh\u00e3o de mol\u00e9culas de g\u00e1s na mistura, 1 mol\u00e9cula \u00e9 vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O ponto de orvalho, por outro lado, \u00e9 uma medida da temperatura na qual o vapor d\u2019\u00e1gua em um g\u00e1s come\u00e7ar\u00e1 a condensar em \u00e1gua l\u00edquida. \u00c9 expresso em graus Celsius ou Fahrenheit. Quando a temperatura de um g\u00e1s cai abaixo do ponto de orvalho, o vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua come\u00e7a a condensar-se do g\u00e1s e formar got\u00edculas l\u00edquidas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre ppmv e ponto de orvalho \u00e9 influenciada por fatores como temperatura e press\u00e3o. Geralmente, \u00e0 medida que o ponto de orvalho de um g\u00e1s diminui, o ppmv de vapor d\u2019\u00e1gua no g\u00e1s tamb\u00e9m diminui. Isso ocorre porque \u00e0 medida que o g\u00e1s esfria, ele se torna menos capaz de reter umidade, de modo que o vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua se condensa e a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua no g\u00e1s diminui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por outro lado, \u00e0 medida que o ponto de orvalho de um g\u00e1s aumenta, o ppmv de vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua no g\u00e1s tamb\u00e9m aumenta. Isso ocorre porque \u00e0 medida que o g\u00e1s fica mais quente, ele se torna mais capaz de reter a umidade, de modo que a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de vapor d\u2019\u00e1gua no g\u00e1s aumenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Portanto, para medir com precis\u00e3o a quantidade de umidade em um g\u00e1s, \u00e9 \u00fatil considerar tanto o ppmv do vapor d&#039;\u00e1gua quanto a temperatura do ponto de orvalho.
