SF6 (Sulphur Hexafluoride) is an essential insulating gas used in high-voltage electrical equipment — but it also carries significant environmental and safety risks if handled incorrectly. Proper SF6 training ensures that technicians, engineers, and field operators understand how to manage, recover, and recycle the gas safely in compliance with international standards.
Through this training, participants gain hands-on experience in identifying leaks, using specialized gas handling equipment, and implementing preventive measures that protect both personnel and the environment. In addition, trained professionals help organizations maintain regulatory compliance, reduce operational downtime, and extend the lifespan of their electrical systems.
Our normal class is roughly 4 hours of in class lecture, about 30 minutes for lunch, and then 4 hours of equipment training.
At your facility, anywhere in North America.
Students receive a certification of completion, 8 NETA CTD credits, and a comprehensive field handbook.
We provide a certification of completion upon passing of the test at the end of the class. Our curriculum earns NETA CTD credits.
Our training is great for someone who wants to have a background knowledge in SF6 equipment and processes. Without proper training, technicians can be putting themselves at risk of injury if mishandling the gas occurs.
We normally charge per person, but offer discounts for larger groups. Contact us below to find out more.
