SF6 Training for Technicians

Our SF6 Training was designed based on the recommendations of the EPA’s SF6 Emissions Reduction Partnership, and years of experience in the power testing industry. We mix practical knowledge with a strong background in how SF6 equipment works. This class is for any technician who will be working directly with SF6 power equipment, such as SF6 breakers and transformers. We want to give you the knowledge you need to be successful in the field.

How long does the class last?

Our normal class is roughly 4 hours of in class lecture, about 30 minutes for lunch, and then 4 hours of equipment training.

Where are the classes held?

At your facility, anywhere in North America. 

What materials do students receive?

Students receive a certification of completion, 8 NETA CTD credits, and a comprehensive field handbook.

Are there any certifications included?

We provide a certification of completion upon passing of the test at the end of the class. Our curriculum earns NETA CTD credits. 

Why do I need this training?

Our training is great for someone who wants to have a background knowledge in SF6 equipment and processes. Without proper training, technicians can be putting themselves at risk of injury if mishandling the gas occurs.
